Julaina – The only thing I know about poetry is if I like something I read or not – therefore, I can’t comment on the quote.

Like the prior reader, I don’t write poetry so am ill-equipped to answer. I’m guessing the heart of it is whether you write better with structure. If I were to write a poem, I’d assume that for me the structure would be critical. Who knows, maybe some day when my muse is playing coy, and I can’t get inspired to write anything for my current novel, I’ll give a short poem a try.
