Sun Kings Beatles Tribute Band Played At The Campanil Theater
We enjoyed going to the El Campanil Theater in Antioch last night to hear the Sun Kings Beatles Tribute Band. We’ve heard them several times but this location is the most comfortable. The Sun Kings play Beatles songs and do a good job sounding like them.
The songs they sang last night were from the Revolver album which is the seventh studio album and was released on August 5, 1966. The audience sang along with”Yellow Submarine”, “Taxman”, “Eleanor Rigby”, “Good Day Sunshine”, and several others. Those titles bring back the music and I’m ready to sing along.

Ziggy Marley Fly Rasta Concert
The Ziggy Marley Fly Rasta Concert last night at Sonoma Mountain Village in Rohnert Park was awesome. We had an hour and a half drive home on a week night so we tried to leave mid-way through the concert. But our friend, Debbie Wiggins, took us by the hand and led us back into the swaying crowd, encouraged us to stay to the end, and we were swept up into Ziggy’s energy again. We couldn’t go.
On the way home, I tried to think of ways to express an experience like that in writing. Selecting the right words in a short story or novel could bring the reader right there. I think I’ll have my protagonist go to a music event and see what I can do to have the reader experience it with her.
Thanks to Debbie and Morty who brought us to Ziggy live.

Distracted by Lindsey Stirling
I intended to work on my writing projects when I settled down at the computer this evening after visiting a dear friend who is 94 years old. Somehow, I ended up on YouTube for two hours watching Lindsey Stirling videos. What is amazing about her is she dances while playing the violin. She not only is a good musician, I enjoy her songs and the settings where she plays.
Her music makes me joyful. Check out one of my favorites below:
Radioactive – Lindsey Stirling and Pentatonix (Imagine Dragons Cover) https://youtu.be/aE2GCa-_nyU?list=RDHZa1iFO0Juk …
My son played the violin from the age of five and would have admired Stirling as much as I do. Have you seen her on TV or on You Tube?
